The Grade Ones had a fun ‘Winter Day’ today. They all dressed in wintery clothes and did fun Winter activities in their classrooms. The highlight of the day was getting to enjoy yummy hot chocolate and s’mores!
The Grade 3 pupils have learnt that living in a “coastal environment” is very special and has great recreational benefits. As Creston College is an Eco School the Grade 3’s have adopted Olso Beach. Each year we head down to this beach with the children and do a clean up.
The Grade Ones ended off their Pet Theme with a visit to Harmony Hills Animal Shelter. They went on a treasure hunt, listened to a very informative talk on the importance of taking care of animals and got to play with some of the cats and dogs. Thank you to all the parents that sent dog and cat food for us to take with! Pet
The Grade 1,2 and 3’s took part in the Inter-house Cross Country on the 15 June 2018. All our pupils took part and earned points for their houses. Well done to our medal winners for coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each grade.
The Junior Primary hosted their annual Winter Sports Festival today. Local schools were invited to play hockey and soccer, and our Creston pupils performed well in all their games. We would like to extend a big thank you to our incredibly, generous and hard-working parent body who contributed to making today a big success! Great fun was had by all and we are very proud of all of our teams!
The Grade Ones were allowed to bring their pets to school this morning as part of their Pet Theme. We had a variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, fish and hamsters. The highlight of the morning was a baby chick that escaped! Thank you to the group of determined parents who formed a quick search party and sourced the bushes until the little chick was found safe and sound!
