The Grade 1’s ended off their “Wild Animals’ theme with a trip to Lake Eland Game Reserve. They were so lucky to see so many animals including giraffe, zebra, warthog, wildebeest and many different types of buck. Each child braved the suspension bridge and we are so proud of all of them! We ended off our morning with a picnic in the park and some time on the playground!
Creston College’s Grade 5 and 6 pupils got stuck into the senior primary gardens on Friday to celebrate Spring day. The Peterson family kindly donated trays of seedlings and the Grade 5 children were seen scurrying around the Senior Primary planting them in their new homes. The children were taught the different sun requirements for each plant and were then showed how to water them.
The grade 6s were also seen cleaning and weeding the block gardens they began last year. Many of the plants are still looking wonderful and a special mention of Emihle Notshweleka who has diligently been looking after her plant.
A special thank you goes to Mr. and Mrs. Peterson for their very generous donation of the beautiful plants.
